Cooper's Hill Local Area
Located in the village of Englefield Green in Surrey, Audley has acquired a site in Magna Carta Park. Close to Runnymede, the River Thames and Windsor Great Park, the luxury retirement village will be situated within 66 acres of land, with impressive views over the surrounding landscape.
The site was originally a private home, built in the Victorian Gothic style and known as Coopershill until 1871 when it was converted into the Indian Civil Engineering College. At the beginning of the 20th century the buildings were returned to private use before becoming a teacher training college in 1934 and eventually merging with Brunel University in 1980.
The Audley village will provide a selection of luxury retirement properties with the former house being sympathetically restored to become the Audley Club. This will include a swimming pool, health club, restaurant and bar/bistro.
Englefield Green is 10 minutes from Egham and has easy access to the M25 with connections to the M3, M4 and M40. Egham is 40 minutes by train to London and Reading and is just 7 miles from Heathrow Airport.
With an existing planning consent it is expected the village will open in early 2019.
